64x64 LED Matrix Grid

If you're printing yourself don't use this model!:

This is is a really really slow path to printing these since slicers aren't optimized for grids like this. A better option is:

Create a 192x192x6mm solid box (or 160x160, 128x128

Set top and bottom layers in your slicer to 0

Set your infill density to 30.5%

Line width .5

Infill Angle to 0

If you use these steps you can print a similar grid in 2-3 hours.

If you're using a printing service this is probably fine but at home the models will take around 24 hours to print. Please comment if you know slicer settings that would optimize this!

These grids are meant to be placed over a 64x64 LED matrix panel. They add some isolation to each LED and when combined with a diffuser can create a nice square pixel look.

There are 3 versions, each 6mm tall:

128x128mm 2mm pitch

160x160mm 2.5mm pitch

192x192mm 3mm pitch

The spacing between the grids is .4 to .5mm so you may need “Detect Thin Walls” depending on your slicer. Each wall will also only be 1 line thick so you may need a calibrated printer for these.
