This printer is engineered from scratch with the objective of being mechanically robust, operating quietly, and seamlessly integrating into environments beyond workshops. This project remains in development, but it's now time to share it and potentially receive constructive feedback or inspire others with this concept. Some key facts include: - Build volume: 250 x 220 x 160mm - E3D Titan / Lite6 / Volcano with 0.6/0.8 nozzles for rapid and strong parts production - Hiwin MGN12 linear rails + HGW20 for Bed - 24V / MKS Gen V1.4 - TMC2280 for all steppers UPDATE January 2018: - A large 75x30mm radial fan (possibly excessive, awaiting a more compact 75x15mm model) - Closed extruder design - Ribbon cable for clean aesthetics and modularity (20Pin Dupont 2.54) - Octoprint with webcam - TMC2208 for X and Y axis UPDATE October 2018: - HIWIN Mgn12 on X/Y axis - New Bed design featuring one 20mm linear rail and a bent L-Profile (aluminum). This setup boasts exceptional stiffness and low resonances. Remember to attach stiffeners to the back of the profile, as seen in Picture 6. - 20 pin ribbon cable for extruder - dragchain for bedcables - TMC 2208 on all axis - mounted on the wall for reduced resonances Feel free to share your thoughts!
