The worms used in those arms don't match up with the gear boxes they're paired with, and they rely on standard metric screws, making them extremely slow. In contrast, the Solarbotics GM8 gearbox is half the price of the others I've seen and packs twice the power. Plus, this worm is specifically matched to the gearbox for optimal speed. This actuator arm boasts an extendable reach of 200mm and can be shortened simply by cutting a knife through the inner and outer arms to the desired length.
