
Active Wheel

This is a prototype of an active wheel, rotating 90 degrees around its axis. Designed in just over a day, it's a preliminary model. The design was created for the "Tehnoproriv" competition held at Bauman Moscow State Technical University from December 18-20, 2014. A servo motor and gear wheel pair drive the wheel, with a 90-degree rotation achieved through a combination of servo motor and a cycloidal reducer developed by Russian company AVVI. Additionally, the mechanism includes a hydraulic cylinder and spin for adjustable ground clearance.
