Active Strain Relief for 3D Printer Filament
thingiverse
This device pulls filament from the spool as needed, providing a buffer to ease the extruder's workload and preventing issues with off-center spools.\r\nIt operates independently of the printer.\r\n\r\nTwo types of clamps are available for mounting: one fits square rods, while the other fits round ones. A screw hole in the device's base allows you to integrate a custom mounting system if needed.\r\n\r\nTo learn more about this project, check out my detailed post, which includes photos, a demo video, and a circuit diagram at https://harariprojects.com/2019/02/06/active-strain-relief-for-3d-printer-filament/.
