Active Carbon and Hepa Filter assembly set
thingiverse
More details coming soon. This Hepa/Active Carbon filter design is inspired by RJ_Make's creation and aims to minimize the restrictive elements that his design presents. A wide range of options are available due to the numerous parts included, totaling more than a dozen. All test prints were completed in ABS, so as long as you know how to manage warping, you should be fine; otherwise, use PLA or another material with minimal warping properties. The current supported fan sizes include 60mm, 80mm, 92mm, and 120mm. The Delta FFB0912EHE-F00 was used for testing purposes, and using a fan with a higher static pressure rating will yield better results. I plan to test the 0.5" Carbon setup with standard PC fans and record my findings. Update: For an extended period now, I have been utilizing a 1" Carbon body in conjunction with a standard 90mm case fan without any issues; the fan seems to be able to pull air into the filter effectively. Four bases are provided for this design: one square base with extended legs, one round base, one raised base with bridging/vents, and a vertical mount set. Four different heights have been supplied for the Active Carbon Body, but I recommend using only the 1/2" height unless you have a very powerful fan, which will be quite noisy. Manual rotation of parts in your slicer is likely required; print the Fan Grills, Fan Adapters, and Active Carbon Body's upside down, while printing the bases and Hepa Filter holder right side up. Required Parts: * 4 Fan screws * Roomba 800 HEPA filters are used for this design. * Fiberglass window/sliding door screen works well at containing the carbon inside without causing a mess. Print Settings: * Printer: Makerfarm Pegasus * Rafts: No * Supports: No * Resolution: 0.2mm * Infill: 10-25% * Notes: I recommend using 1 perimeter and 20-25% infill for most parts, except the Grate Grill, which should be solid. If you're printing larger carbon bodies in ABS, I suggest applying a skirt to prevent warping.
