Active camera Proto 1
thingiverse
A surveillance system uses a Raspberry Pi Camera, controlled by OpenCV software. The camera is connected to the internet through WiFi and can be accessed on any smartphone. With just a few lines of Python code, you can instruct the Raspberry Pi Cam to rotate in order to track a person or face that comes into view. You simply add servo code to drive the rotation. Once tracking begins, face recognition takes over and automatically identifies who is in frame using OpenCV. A photo of the captured image is then transferred instantly to your personal Dropbox account for safe keeping. Using an app on your smart phone you can access your webcam through wifi and see live footage or capture stills from your home cam via remote access with complete control through an intuitive smartphone interface that also provides detailed instructions in English language for setting up motion detection alerts as well.
