This is a super cheap floater for your action cam that you'll ever find. Yep... it's just a cap that screws onto a plastic bottle*. Secure your cam and you're good to go. It works with 0.5l, 1l, 1.25l, 2l, etc. plastic bottles, and even Ikea's TOMAT Spray bottle from cola/Fanta/sprite/ etc. Here's what you'll need to get that floater: * A 3D printer or someone who has this amazing thing * Download the STL file * A slicer * An action cam case with a bolt * A screw nut that matches the bolt on your action cam (most action cams have the same bolts) * An empty plastic bottle, or Ikea's TOMAT Spray bottle Features: * Pocket size * Fast to print * Little material usage * Easy to replace * Works with most known action cams * Additional grip for easy screwing and unscrewing * Your action cam attached to the plastic bottle can be used as a defense or attack weapon in case of a shark attack, or at least you can record this epic final moment of your life Cons: * You'll still need a bottle that floats * Easy to lose your camera if you swim or dive in the ocean * A shark can eat it with your hand IMPORTANT: Before you go deep with the floater you just assembled, test it in shallow water. * Don't over-tighten the "ActionSodaCap" to the bottle - the cap can split if you don't have good layer adhesive. * If one bottle keeps your camera floating in saltwater, it doesn't mean it'll keep it floating in freshwater. Test it every time you use it. * Please recycle the plastic bottles after use - the world ocean is full of plastic anyway. * Don't drink and drive. * Have fun. How to test it: 1. Get an empty plastic bottle and screw the ActionSodaCap onto it (tight but not over-tight). 2. Fill a bucket or something big enough for the bottle and action camera with water. 3. Put the action cam attached to the empty bottle with ActionSodaCap in the bucket. 4. Watch the results. Case 1: Does it float? If yes, proceed with observation. If no, just get a bigger empty bottle. Case 2: Is the bottle filling up with water? If yes, you're screwed - add some silicone or hot glue for better sealing. If no, proceed with observation. Case 3: Are there any sharks in the bucket? If yes, the assembly is good, but the bucket is broken. You're good to go. If no, go swim... you're good to go. LIKE IT, SHARE IT, MAKE IT, POST IT!
