Action Figure Creation Lab

Action Figure Creation Lab

thingiverse

Create your own 1/18th scale action figure, similar to 80s GI Joe! Customize its appearance with a lizard-inspired body or a larger head. This project is still a work in progress, so check back regularly for updates. To participate, ensure that the joints of your figure's neck, arms, and legs can be bisected by one plane, with separate upper and lower halves for arms and legs, leaving room at the top (not side) for hinges. The script will generate connecting pieces; however, the parts must be of the right form for the script to work effectively. If you have a usable torso, arm, or leg, share it with the creator for potential use. New joint types and scale selectors are expected soon. To start customizing your figure, click 'Open in Customizer' and make the desired changes. Once satisfied, switch the view from design to print, which will arrange all parts on a layout. Open the generated STL file in repG or similar software, place it on the printing platform, and set the print parameters to 0 shells with 100% infill. Dry fit all parts together and clean the torso cavity with acetone. Secure the joint pieces, allow them to harden, and enjoy your unique action figure! If you've designed an exceptional head, arm, leg, or torso, share it by leaving a comment below, and the creator will work on incorporating it into the project. However, please ensure that your design is 5K faces or less to avoid compatibility issues with the customizer.
