Action Camera to Microscope Adapter - 28.85mm Diameter Sleeves

NOTE: See Thing #6101113 for 28.00mm microscope version 4K Action Cameras can work very well when mated to a microscope. This design includes two different cradles to fit several makes of action cameras and 15 different sleeves to fit microscopes having eyepiece diameters of 28.85mm. These include several different makes of low power stereo microscopes like the C&A Scientific SMd-04L. There is a threaded insert that attaches the sleeve to the cradle. The reason for a wide range of sleeves is that different action camera/microscope combinations need difference sleeves to account for the differences in eye relief distance and field of view. A good starting point of the DragonTouch Vision 3 and Xilecam 4K 30fps cameras with the SMD-04 is sleeve 28.85 x 13. A good starting point for the Xilecam X6 4K 60fps camera and the SMD-04 is the 28.85 x 9 sleeve. The goal is to find a sleeve that provides the brightest and sharpest image without light flare. Eyepieces in microscopes ten to droop when a camera is attached. The clip helps keep the eyepiece straight. The ScopeAction V3 cradle has been tested with the DragonTouch Vision 3 and the Xilecam 4K 30fps. The ScopeAction X6 cradle has been tested with the Xilecam X6 4K 60fps camera.
