Action Camera Rig V1
thingiverse
I'm excited to share my latest project, which is part of my ongoing series of prints that I'll be sharing over the next 365 days. I recently needed a two-handed rig for my action camera, so I decided to design and build one myself. This was an incredible learning experience for me, and while my first version may not be perfect, it definitely gets the job done. The next iteration will be much more robust, as the connectors weren't long enough to keep everything securely in place. Unfortunately, I also encountered a slight sizing issue on my end. Fortunately, the connector is designed to be static and fits all action camera mounts, which was a huge plus. I came up with my own unique design for this rig, except for the connector, which I obtained from 3D_CC_design's model on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:53680). Here are the print settings I used: Printer: Wanhao Duplicator 4 Dual Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 15% Notes: Printed at 50mm/s, 235°C nozzle temperature, 55°C bed temperature, 0.2mm layer height, 2 shells, 15% infill with a diamond pattern (for speed), Sun Green 1.75 PLA filament, and no active cooling fan was used.
