Action Camera Hang Mount

This is a 2-part camera mount I made that fits standard GoPro/Action camera type connectors perfectly. The base part consists of two arms that snugly fit around the sides and up to the top, with a couple of holes where fishing line can be securely tied. For added insurance, I also wrapped some fishing line around the base of the mount in case the arms were ever to break, but so far, no issues have arisen. Designed specifically for underwater use, this mount allows me to lower it into the water off a fishing pier and capture what's happening below the surface. To prevent seaweed from filling the frame, I designed an attachment for legs that can be added to the base version of the mount. The leg attachment uses barbecue skewers that are friction-fitted into place, providing a secure hold without the need for any additional hardware. A designated spot is also available for attaching weights to stabilize the camera in strong currents. To minimize buoyancy and keep the camera stable, I designed the mount with a minimal amount of plastic and thin walls. Additionally, I've tied some bubble wrap to the fishing line above the mount to keep it out of the shot and ensure a clear view of what's happening underwater.
