The Vesuvius espresso machine from ACS has some subpar wooden components in its portafilter handle and steam/hot water knobs. These components are out of round, drilled at an irregular angle, and quickly deteriorate after exposure to water during cleaning. In contrast to the original curved design of the portafilter handle, my replacement version features straight sides, which I believe complements the machine's angular aesthetic better.
