Acrylic M3 Laser Cut Linear Slide
thingiverse
The original Metric 3mm lasercut linear slide was created from scrap acrylic, initially made as a sarcastic comment to a friend. After removing sharp edges and burrs, the slide operates almost frictionless. Depending on the quality of acrylic used, it may have a long service life with dry glide or similar lubricant. The DXF file contains parts for one slide carriage and rail; duplication is required for additional sets. Rail edges are rounded, and 4x M3 cap screws and nuts are needed per carriage. Select acrylic thickness based on desired bolt head thickness. Rails can be joined end to end for longer slides.
