Hello! This custom edge lit acrylic lamp base was designed specifically for my lamps I engrave. A little tab on the back of both sides allows for a screw to be added for mounting, but it's not required at all. The base holds the lamps securely and is extremely sturdy. It accommodates a 0.220 in acrylic sheet with an insert length of 7-15/16''. The bottom will need to be sanded on either end, but only slightly - I designed it for a tighter fit and ended up with a bit more than intended. However, it still fits after just a few minutes of prep work! It fits into the bottom of the base and is recessed into the top to be concealed. Feel free to modify it however you need to, as I don't mind at all. On average, my print time for these was 7 hours and 53 minutes, while the bottom took around 45 minutes to print. I'm currently working on a few 0.92 in acrylic bases that will be uploaded later once I've ironed out the kinks. Printed with a Creality Ender 3 using Cura 6.4.1, I used 1.75 PETG filament at 215C and 80C for bed temperature. Fan speed was set to 45% and infill was at 20%. Supports were set to 0 on the top to create a recessed area for the bottom to fit in. I also print with a raft, using a 3mm offset for adhesion. I encountered problems around 55-60% completion with the base slowly curling up and pulling the bed off the heat pad. However, by printing with a raft and lowering the fan speed, I've hardly had this problem anymore.
