Acrylic Body and Eggbot Head
thingiverse
The body is crafted in Adobe Illustrator using multiple pieced SVG files, while the head is made on an Egg Bot from Inkscape. Uploaded files include various .svg and .ai types; acrylic size may vary based on file. For best results, use the Egg Bot's .svg file. To assemble, cut each body section on a 9mm acrylic sheet with a 40-watt laser at 8 speed, 100 power, and 5000 frequency, running it twice for complete cuts. Use black ultra-thin sharpie on the Egg Bot for coloring and fake ping pong balls as surface material; other balls can be used but ping pong balls work best. Glue each body piece with acrylic glue and secure the head using a small amount of epoxy or hot glue, taking care not to melt the ping pong ball.
