Acrylic 3D Puzzle

thingiverse

I collect wooden puzzles at home as decorative items. To improve my skills in milling parts that fit together perfectly, I decided to recreate this puzzle using acrylic materials instead. However, I encountered a few issues during the process. Specifically, I needed to sand down some of the pieces so they would fit together seamlessly. Unfortunately, I didn't take into account the inner-corner problem that CNC milling can cause. As a result, I've added a disclaimer to my tutorial: sanding and fillets are essential for achieving a precise fit. To make up for this mistake, I revised the dimensions of the puzzle pieces to ensure they fit together more accurately. Each piece now has a 0.05in gap, which allows for a close-to-perfect press-fit finish. In addition to sharing my revised puzzle design, I've also created a step-by-step tutorial on how to make your own custom puzzle template: visit http://bit.ly/2p1lgbq for more information.
