Acrobrat 4 in Arm Extensions
thingiverse
These arm extensions enable you to run 4" props on your 3" acrobat. Please read this description before printing. Print in TPU, with a 100% infill setting for the best results. To achieve optimal print quality, print one part at a time and enable combing (in Cura, this feature is known by other names; simply search online to learn more). Printing all parts simultaneously will result in a stringy mess and a weakened structure. To assemble the arm extensions, use M2x6 screws to join the upper and lower halves. For motor mounting, use four M2x8 screws. Apply BLUE LOCTITE to prevent over-tightening and ensure secure fastening. Additionally, install M2 washers on the motor screws to prevent them from sinking into the soft TPU material and causing a short circuit in the stator. I must emphasize that I have only briefly tested these arm extensions, so some concerns remain regarding their durability. Specifically, I worry about the potential for excessive flex around the motors. If you experience any issues or concerns during use, please share your feedback in the comments section here or on my YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/c/ryanthomasFPV.
