Acoustic Levitator electronics platform
thingiverse
A mounting platform for electronics associated with Asier Marzo's Mini Lev is provided. Two versions are designed for projects with and without a voltage converter. A more generalized solution can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3189583 and https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3188617. To simplify wiring, the Arduino Nano is mounted on a terminal block board. The board allows assembling the project without soldering and uses the barrel jack to connect to a power supply. A suggested wire path is provided below. When using the no voltage converter option, attach the VCC IN on the Nano terminal board to the +12 input on L289N module. Ground to ground. An external controlled variable power supply can now be used. Do not exceed 12 volts. When using the voltage converter option, attach the VCC IN on the Nano terminal board to the VCC IN on the voltage converter board. Attach ground on the Nano terminal board to ground in on the voltage converter board. Attach VCC OUT on the voltage converter board to the +12 input on L289N module. Attach ground out on the voltage converter module to ground on the +12 input on L289N module. A fixed voltage power supply can now be used to power the Nano and provide variable voltage to drive the L289N. The rest of the wiring remains the same as presented in the original tutorial. In addition to 3D printing the platform, a 1/4-20 screw and T-nut are required to attach it to the extrusion. Links to the boards used for sizing hole placement are provided below. Note that some low-cost boards have inconsistent tolerance from batch to batch.
