Acorn Spinning Top
thingiverse
Inspired by nature, this spinning top makes for a fun toy to enjoy. Assembly is required! Three parts need to be assembled together seamlessly: the bottom piece, the top piece, and the coupler. --About the bottom piece:-- It's partially hollow, designed to distribute weight perfectly, which improves its spin. This part has a small hexagonal hole at the bottom for assembly purposes. To print it, you'll need about 1 hour and 40 minutes. A 100% infill is recommended, with a layer height of 0.25 mm and no support required. --About the top piece:-- This piece is small, curved, and features a peg for spinning. It also has a small hexagonal hole at the bottom for assembly purposes. Printing this part takes about 28 minutes, with a suggested 10% infill to keep its center of mass low. The recommended settings are 0.25 mm layer height and no support. --About the coupler:-- The coupler is a hexagonal standoff that joins the two pieces by press fit. For best results, place this piece between the bottom and top parts and press them together firmly. Printing time for this part is just about 1 minute. A 20% infill is recommended, with a layer height of 0.25 mm and no support required. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Future edit: adding an acorn texture to the top piece would be amazing! Can you make it happen?
