The primary objective of this project is to devise a safer method for crushing and shelling acorns. The design features a stable base that cradles the acorn, secured by an attached handle to prevent the base from taking flight during use. A compact smasher is used to strike the top of the acorn, while strategically placed slots in the holder allow the shell to dislodge outward. Two distinct designs are being explored: one original and bulky, the other a modified version that optimizes filament usage. Currently, commercial products available on the market are large machinery lacking explicit details on their inner workings. In contrast, individuals often resort to holding acorns in hand and smashing them with rocks as a makeshift solution.
