Acorn Finial These adorn some of the walls and balustrades around Portmeirion. My intention is to paint the finished result to match the original and scatter it throughout my garden. Notes: Printed using repetierhost, scaled up 250% size it came out at 20.2cm tall, 90mm approximately diameter (not sure why it imported so tiny but might be a units issue during cleanup in 3dbuilder) Took just under four hours to print. Side note...if you ever get the chance to visit Portmeirion Village in Wales then take it. It's a beautiful, captivating and clever creation of a visionary. If you get the opportunity to stay overnight then even better - it feels half a world away from everywhere and the restaurant is a treat. If you are a fan of the 60's TV show 'The Prisoner' then add it to your bucket list. I'm not affiliated with the place in any way - just a great admirer and occasional resident. I'm not quite sure why number 6 wanted to leave, actually!
