Eliminate wobble easily on your Cupcake with these steps. First, print four ACME Nut Holders for a 7/8" wrench size nut. Next, use Z extender bases from Zydac's kit to increase base height and reduce rod length. Cut four 9" lengths of 1/2"-20tpi high-quality ACME rod, ensuring straightness. Lathe down one end of each rod to slide fit a skate bearing, and the other end to match the cupcake's floor dimensions. Attach Z Extenders using existing hardware, then press fit ACME rods into holders and bolt to the bottom of the acrylic Z platform. If necessary, clearance for rods. Optionally, swap the stepper pulley if nuts are tight fitting. Calibrate steps per MM depending on pulley changes. Pre-turned rods with nuts are available on Ebay, or purchase ACME rods from McMasterCarr.
