I was struggling to find a solid nut design, which led me to create one from scratch using OpenScad. I followed the instructions on http://www.thingiverse.com/make:186226 and managed to make it in OpenScad. After exporting it to .CSG, I downloaded and imported it into FreeCad, but no matter what I did, it wouldn't export properly as a single STEP file, resulting in tens of thousands of small bodies. However, I was able to get it working by exporting it from FreeCad to IGES and then importing it into NX using the "simplify", "sew bodies", and "repair" tools. Now you can easily customize this design for your own project, thanks to the original creators who came up with the concept. I've also added a 2-start version of the nut, which covers Bang good motors with screws.
