Acheulean hand axe from Saint-Acheul Amiens France is a Lower Paleolithic relic dating back before 300000 years ago made entirely of flint measuring 138.7 mm in length and 81.6 mm in width with a thickness of 30.4 mm. Catalog number 515a1 designates this specimen as the first item in a collection acquired by James Bell Bullitt during his European tour in 1929 which was later donated to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where it is stored in the Research Laboratories of Archaeology within the North Carolina Archaeological Collection modelled by Kay Waller.
