Acetone Vapor Bath Container
thingiverse
My Acetone Vapor Bath setup involves a glass container with a 4.25" mouth opening that fits a standard coffee mug top easily. To create a rest for the bottom, I removed the metal rim from a portable coffee mug top and drilled four holes on the sides of the jar to thread bolts through. The basket is made from a metal food skimmer with its plastic handle removed; the mesh allows acetone to smooth the bottom while maintaining a flat surface for prints. Wire was looped around the loops in the skimmer, ensuring the top fit inside the jar. For the lid, I designed a safety feature using a mini clothespin and a BB: when pressure builds, the BB releases it, preventing the lid from blowing off and keeping vapors inside. Unfortunately, you can't download this project as it only provides a slab with a photo of the jar grouped to it.
