Acetech Lighter S replacement casing
thingiverse
During one of the matches, my Lighter S took a severe hit that left its alignment severely compromised. I decided to create a custom replacement casing for it, taking care to note that the thread is extremely fine and requires printing at an incredibly low layer height of 0.05mm. To achieve this, I employed variable layer height for some sections while maintaining a standard layer thickness of 0.3mm elsewhere. The new casing is slightly thicker than its original counterpart due to my need to ensure it operates within the nozzle's full diameter multiplayer capabilities and withstands minor impacts without needing an immediate reprint. The design dimensions were precisely calibrated, but after the initial print, I discovered that material shrinkage played a significant role in the final product's tightness. Following a thorough measurement of the dimensional differences, I printed the second casing at 103% of its original size, resulting in a perfect fit. This adjustment appears to be highly dependent on the specific material used for printing.
