<h1>Before you print!</h1> - You need the stand that came with your monitor in order for this print to work - Print at higher temperatures than you normally would for PLA (210c-220c) <h1>Overview</h1> Hello! This is a VESA adapter for an Acer R240HY computer monitor. This may also fit other certain monitors in the Acer family, however this is the only Acer monitor that I own and I can't vouch for the support for the other monitors. I worked on this adapter through 3 or 4 revisions, this configuration holds up extremely well and does NOT require any other hardware besides the stand that the monitor came with (and a screw driver). I tried some other Acer vesa adapters on thingiverse however none of them seemed sturdy enough so I decided to design my own. This adapter also does not block any of your ports and rests completely behind the monitor. Happy printing! :) <h1>Printing Tips</h1> I recommend printing this with ABS as it will probably hold up better to the long term stress of holding the monitor, however PLA works just fine. If you use PLA I highly suggest using a minimum layer height of 0.2mm and using higher temperatures for better layer adhesion. You do not need supports, you may need rafts depending on if you have issues with your prints sticking too tightly to the bed. I would recommend using at least 10% infill. You should use higher infill if you are printing at lower temperatures. <h1>Mounting Instructions</h1> You also need the monitor stand that came with the monitor. Remove the mount piece from the stand (see pictures) with the screws that came with the built-in mount. Then transfer this mount and the screws to the VESA adapter. Do not screw in too tightly or you could cause your layers to separate especially if you are using PLA. The mount will be a tight fit in the VESA adapter, this is by design. This adapter is different from other Acer VESA adapters because it does not rely on the screws to hold the weight of the monitor, instead most of the weight of the monitor is held up just from the mounting pressure. I still recommend installing the mounting screws that came with the stand.
