I was fed up with shutting down my computer every time I needed to lean on it and reach around to the back. Some clever individual at Acer placed the power button on top of the device, making it alarmingly easy to shut it off by accident. This PC is an Acer Aspire AM3400. This straightforward little protector prevents unintentional shutdowns (or powering on) while still allowing for visibility and access to the power switch with a simple finger movement. To make this simple solution work: Print out this guide. Attach some double-sided adhesive tape, like the thin kind resembling "Scotch Tape." Apply it over the corner as seen in the accompanying image. Feel more secure knowing you've eliminated accidental shutdowns. The original Sketchup file is included for those who want to tweak and improve this simple design further.
