Acer H233H Power Button Support
thingiverse
The (ancient) Acer H233H monitor's power button is supported only by a flimsy plastic hinge that has a tendency to break. This bracket replaces that hinge mechanism to support the external power button in the proper orientation so it can consistently actuate the PCB button. It sits between the monitor bezel and the power button PCB, held in place by the PCB mounting screws, with protrusions facing outward towards the bezel. The tallest protrusions prevent the button from rotating out of position by interfering with the remnants of the plastic hinge on the side of the button; the next-tallest protrusions hold the button in position horizontally; and the shorter shelf serves as a fulcrum for the button's pressing motion. You may have to cut part of the remnants of the original hinge mechanism off of the bezel to make room for this bracket, as well as file any parts stuck to the button to form clean, flat tabs to sit against the bracket protrusions. There may also be some sprue on the part of the button that rests on the fulcrum, so you might want to file it flat. This tends to be a bit of a hairy print due to the tall, disconnected spires, so it may also take some cleanup and (minimal) filing of the printed part to get the fit right.
