When giant king Thiazi snatched Idunn and her Apples of Immortality from Asgard's grasp, the gods swiftly unleashed their wrath. Thor crushed Thiazi's skull with Mjolnir while the giant was mid-transformation from his eagle guise, sending both eyes flying out of their sockets. Blindly, Thiazi now wanders through Helheim's mist-shrouded streets as a gift to his daughter Skadi and recompense for Odin's killing of her father. As a gesture of goodwill, Odin flung the giant's eyes into the heavens where they shine as twin stars, watching all that unfolds when sunbeams fall on the Nine Worlds.
