The L115A1 is a British-made sniper rifle developed by Accuracy International. It was adopted by the British Army in the mid-1980s under the designation L96, and has also been used by police forces and special operatives. The rifle features an optical sight with a fixed 10x magnification, provided by Leupold Mark 4, as well as other sighting systems such as the L1A1 "Schmidt and Bender" class 6x42 or LORIS "Geodesis Defense". In the civilian market, this sniper rifle is classified as a sporting firearm, with prices ranging from $10,000 to $12,000. The longest recorded combat shot was made by British Army officer Harrison Craig at an astonishing 2,475 meters.
