Accessory Switch Panel for Anet A8
thingiverse
I required a location to insert a switch for the LED strip lighting I'm about to install on my printer, so I quickly assembled this in OpenSCAD. It securely attaches to existing screw holes in the top of the frame (on the right), although if you adjust your slicer to flip or mirror the STL file on the X-axis, you could position it on the left. I provided a 1/4" hole for the toggle switch I'm using, though you could easily alter size or shape, add more, etc. (updated June 21st) I added the two-hole panel with labels that I'm currently employing. A8-0004.stl is a replica of the frame top panel from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2288314 and is included for reference. (Uncommenting the initial few lines in mount.scad will make it appear in gray in the preview; this is how I aligned the mounting holes. Leave them commented out for the final render.)
