Accessory Brake Light Holder for Motorcycle
thingiverse
I designed a custom motorcycle accessory in Tinkercad for my BMW R1200GS, hooking it up to a Hex ezCAN light controller. The design is versatile and can be adapted to any motorcycle, though the fancy flashing effects might not work without extra electronics. I chose these high-intensity LEDs with a 30-degree viewing angle and 7500mcd brightness for my project. However, they're extremely bright at maximum intensity, so I'm only running them at half-power. A dimmer LED would be a better choice in the future. You can find similar products on Digi-Key's website. To determine the right resistors and wiring configuration, I plugged in the LED details into the online calculator at led.linear1.org/led.wiz. For sealing my project, I used a potting epoxy that worked perfectly. The amount was just right and the finish turned out great. You can find this product on Amazon.
