I upgrade my Prusa i3 V-Slot Pro with accessories that make a huge difference in its performance, using about 60-70% of the parts included in the DIY kit. Starting on July 15th, I begin by printing a handle in PLA and attaching it to the printer bridge for easy moving and transporting of the printer. The bridge is strategically placed at the center of gravity of the machine, allowing me to lift the printer perpendicularly with ease using the handle. On July 16th, I add a spool filament holder that can be mounted to the rear right diagonal V-slot using two 4x8 mm bolts and nuts, as well as one 5x80 mm bolt and nut to support the weight of the roll. The spool roller rotates smoothly on a spindle bearing mount with the help of two 608zz bearings. Next, on July 20th, I upgrade my X-Carriage V1.1 and mount an E3D Chimera dual extruder with two Volcano hotends. I relocate the nozzle fan to the back of the X-carriage for better airflow.
