I built a basic support for my 3D prints and created the tiny front portion that sits on the eyes, which I had printed at 0.2 layer thickness with 12% infill to provide maximum stability - the result was impressive stability in fact. The separate part of the eye housing that got lower print settings at 0.1, turned out a bit weak, unfortunately the narrow rim meant to keep the lens in place wasn't as robust as I had hoped it would be - that little piece will need some serious bonding after finding a perfect match for a 'lens' fits right into place snugly and tightly. Simple prints like these often get improved by just refining them ever so slightly - don't hesitate to enhance or refine this basic idea, turn it into something entirely different if you see fit!
