Accessible Wade's Extruder
thingiverse
Version 3 of this accessible extruder can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8252. The second version is uploaded, and you need to generate STLs from the scad file for version 2 to get the changes. This design is based on Prusa's wades and offers several improvements over the standard wade, including accessible hobbing, removable motor without disassembling large gear, higher gear ratio, accessible carriage attachment screw with motor installed, longer clearance for idler tensioning, motor placement allowing small gear mount with hub towards motor, shallow nut trap for locking halfnuts, and recessed motor mount screws. The creator plans to add options for small gear mounting, improve idler positioning, and incorporate user feedback on hotend mount supports. Print instructions are provided for individual STLs and assembly plates. Hotend-specific mounting holes may be required depending on your hotend.
