Accelerator 2-Stage 18mm model rocket
thingiverse
I crafted this rocket to initiate deployment of the spiralized printing technique, which yields significantly improved surface finishes and lighter rockets overall. This approach proved highly effective, resulting in a remarkably high-performance rocket that can reach extreme altitudes with 18mm Estes motors. To validate my design, I employed RockSim, which allowed me to test and analyze the rocket's projected heights. I strongly recommend this software to anyone looking to design their own rockets, as it is extremely user-friendly and has consistently demonstrated accuracy in predicting performance. I have included GCode files for those using an Anet A8, which were generated using Cura. To date, these files have worked seamlessly with Inland PETG, allowing me to print three successful iterations of this design.
