AC Remote Button Pusher - alpha v8 prototype
thingiverse
Button presser, remote automation to press a single button on my A/C controller pad, Mitsubishi Par-21MAA. Still need to work out the attachment that will not make too many holes in the wall or the controller pad and then create the code that will run the servo from a web page. Might use some of the code from Rui Santos website -> https://randomnerdtutorials.com/esp32-servo-motor-web-server-arduino-ide/ All it really needs is one button on a web page to click and activate quick motion and immediate return to 0 position. Guess I have to learn Arduino coding next. Please keep in mind this is rough alpha version to see if this is even possible. Reason I want this is often in winter I get home and it takes long to warm the place up and similarly in summer takes long time to cool my place down to reasonable comfort level. A/C technician said remotes exist for newer models and even if they could adapt new remote that can be turned on from the phone, it would cost well over $1k. ESP32 cost me $10, servo cost same and I had batteries from my RC boat but cost was $12 for 3 of them. Not sure if I should use another source of power since it will be on 24/7 without supervision. Possibly 18650 or 9v with step down. I have been using a 5v 10k mha power bank as this esp32 can run on 5v as well. I chose ESP32 as that's what I had spare at the time. Also servo is just a 9g micro servo as also that is what I had around.
