I dislike the wooden plates securing X rods on LC v2, as they warp easily. These plates have a narrow capture area and lack rigidity. Thus, I designed custom X rod blocks that accommodate twice as much rod, providing even, level, and rigid support. To complement a blue power-on LED, I added a clear PLA face plate as a diffuser. Alternatively, you can print the plate in a non-transparent color or match it to other components for monochrome aesthetics. The plates press fit into the fixture. For the LED option, print the diffuser with 1 wall in all directions using honeycomb infill, while the X Rod Blocks should have 2 walls and ~30% infill.
