AC Plug for Baby Proofing your home
thingiverse
I've Been Searching for an AC Outlet That I Can Print, to Protect My Toddler from Electric Plugs. I Couldn't Find One That Printed Properly, So Like Any Selfless Parent, I Took Matters Into My Own Hands Instead of Spending $1.50 on 12. Using a Digital Caliper, I Measured My Plug at Home and Designed This Protector with Those Exact Dimensions Using 3D Studio Max. I Successfully Printed It Out on the First Try, Thank Goodness. Now it's Your Turn! To Replicate this DIY Project, You Will Need to: Print Using ABS Plastic @ 225°F with a Preheated Bed @ 110°F. You'll Also Want to Use a .35 Hot-End and Print at a Layer Height of 0.35mm for Optimal Results. I've Made About Ten of These Outlets So Far, and They've withstood Countless Plug-In and Pull-Out Cycles without Breaking Down.
