Here's a simple OpenSCAD project that creates a mounting block for a standard IEC A/C socket used in my variable AC control panel for the line feed cord. The socket itself is recycled from an old computer power supply, as is the line cord. This enclosure protects the hot A/C connections and prevents fingers from getting zapped. The socket and entire block are mounted by tapping 4 holes with a 6/32 tap. If you prefer to use metric hardware, simply resize the holes accordingly.
