Abydos King List, Temple of Seti I

Famous 19th Dynasty king list of Seti I in his magnificent mortuary temple at Abydos, Egypt stands proudly. The relief depicts pharaoh Seti I and prince Ramses paying homage to their illustrious ancestors represented by the names of former Egyptian kings. Rulers from the tumultuous First and Second Intermediate Periods are notably absent, as these eras are regarded as periods of utter chaos or "isfet." Moreover, the list deliberately excludes the names of Hatshepsut and the rulers of the Amarna Period, including Akhenaten, Tutankhamen, and Aye, in an attempt to erase them from existence altogether. This remarkable king list was created using a total of __ photographs (Canon EOS Rebel T7i, 24MP) processed with Metashape 1.5.5 software. The photographs were taken in January 2020 during optimal weather conditions.
