An abstract picture frame, inspired by the sound-guiding wall cladding of the Elbphilharmonie main concert hall in Hamburg (Germany), also dubbed “weiße Haut” / "white skin". The frame's front side makes full use of the 3D printers' capability and is composed of an abstract grouping of small dips and valleys, which all absorb & reflect light differently and create an interesting pattern of shadows.The frame comes with a detachable stand and holes for wall mounting. The optional stand as well as the mounting holes both work in portrait and landscape orientation. It is designed for pictures of 10 x 15 cm in size without a glass in front (although a thin layer of 0.75 mm polycarbonate should fit). Print SettingsAll parts:Line width 0.42 mmInfill 25 - 40%3 - 4 bottom layers4 top layers3 - 4 wall linesFrame:Layer height 0.12 - 0.2 mmSupports and support interfaces enabled (regular supports recommended)Minimum wall flow 20 - 25%"Fill gaps between walls" enabledThe topmost layer is tricky to print perfectly (that is, without a couple of tiny holes). "Fill gaps between walls" helps. It might also be useful to reduce the line width a bit, or to print this part using a 0.3 mm nozzle. Either way, it will be functionally perfect without these tweaks, but might look better with them.Backplate:Layer height 0.2 mmSupports not requiredStand:Layer height 0.16 - 0.2 mmSupports and support interfaces enabled (tree supports recommended)If tree supports do not work for you, or your slicer doesn't offer them, you may try tilting the stand 15° forward for printing.
