https://youtu.be/3I4X7ahv0sI Abstract animation for a 3D zoeoptrope in the vein of John Edmark’s “Blooms”. 23 frame loop containing 3 sequences - 115 frame sequence of leaping spinning Tetrahedrons, 118 frame sequence of turning “Sand dollars” on the rim, and an ever outwards base ripple sequence that takes more than 180 frames to travel from the center to the rim. This is a painting/assembly instruction video https://youtu.be/bsgdX_v4nDM I mixed my own version of contrast paint - since they're expensive and it would have taken more than a pot to paint this - search "diy contrast paint" and you'll find a bunch of recipes - I used this one: https://youtu.be/VU0rc0EOOys?t=425 Making animation sequences that are many times longer than the closed loop they fit in (making impossibly smooth animations inside short loops) - is a technique I call “animation multiplexing” - see this video https://youtu.be/U8ZHJwjGL5s for an explanation.
