Absorbing filament guide for Anet A8
thingiverse
This is a low-friction filament guide designed specifically for the Anet A8. It effectively dampens rapid filament flow at high printhead speeds, distributing jerky movements over a longer time frame to account for the inertia of the spool. The guide consists of a clamp and a rocker that work together seamlessly. To attach the bowden tube from the filament container to the guide, simply insert it into the rocker. Alternatively, you can use a round bushing for the filament. The pulley and joint are built using high-quality 608ZZ ball bearings. Important Considerations: - Installing this guide may reduce your printer's build volume. - This design is still a work in progress and not yet perfect. - Due to overhangs and supports, the holes and notches may not be precise. You might need to adjust the tolerance gap in the scad files or rework the printed parts. Design Specifications: The picture shows an early preview version with additional notches for testing purposes. Required Components: Additionally needed are: * 2 high-quality ball bearings (608ZZ) * 1 bolt and nut, measuring 4x20 mm * 1 spring that is 70mm long
