ABSDBS-8" ver. 0.71b
thingiverse
My 100/500 newton telescope from ABS which weighs only 4.8 pounds and a standard 200x200mm printer is enough for the OTA and mount. https://youtu.be/rU0g6_gWuTk The construction is designed for the HC-1 focuser, which weighs only 62 grams and doesn't jam in cold temperatures, unlike threaded helix focusers that often do. (Another focuser can be used, but this requires a redesign of the focuser platform.) The list and number of printed items are listed in a text file. This construction requires a set of bolts and nuts, M4 and M5, three good and hard springs with a diameter of M5 bolts, eight aluminum tubes with a diameter of 12mm and a length of ~870mm*, six bearings with a diameter of 16mm and a bore of 5mm, a spider for the secondary mirror, main mirror, focuser. https://youtu.be/r6JPN2v9uLg https://youtu.be/1REHZZvOI_0 Assembly absdbs-8" For more information, check out my social media pages: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100003787244126 VK: https://vk.com/homemadedob In the comments, ask a question about what kind of mirror to use. Only parabolic mirrors are acceptable; spherical mirrors are not suitable and can be found on Ali Express. I'm not familiar with online marketplaces, but I think you can find the right mirror on eBay. I recently purchased a used Newtonian telescope OTA without a mount and removed it. I have a set of 203mm primary mirrors with a focal length of 1000mm and secondary mirrors with a small axis of 52mm. You can use a 200mm mirror with a larger or smaller focal length, which will require adding a length of pipe and another counterweight. To calculate the size of the required secondary mirror, you can use the "calculator telescope Newton" or ask the seller where you'll get the main mirror. Many variants of pointer holders, focusers, and other details are available on this site; I'll try to print them out and add links to my description.
