Create a PLA-printed stand to fit a 3-1/4 inch (82.55mm) diameter coffee can for use in acetone vapor smoothing of ABS parts. However, be aware that acetone crystallizes PLA, so replace the stand after repeated use. Alternatively, print your stand from a material not prone to acetone dissolution. Fill the can with an inch of acetone, insert the stand, and place an ABS part on top. Close the can and let it sit for hours based on desired finish.
