ABS Fume Killer
thingiverse
Improve this Thingomatic enclosure by adding a filter that uses activated charcoal. The parametric design includes a 200mm computer fan with variable speed control, ensuring air is filtered effectively. Position the filter at the back while covering sides and top with clear lexan sheet secured with thumbscrews. Replace the charcoal every few weeks to maintain efficiency. Adjust the fan's speed for optimal filtration without wasting charcoal. Test using an incense stick or draft test stick. This design is a work in progress, and improvements can be made on part joinery and Z-axis issues. Refer to provided links for a fan speed controller and thumb screws. Follow the instructions for assembling the enclosure with lexan cover, thumbscrews, and glued case parts. Attach the furnace filter material to both sides of the filter, filled with activated charcoal, then seal it. Insert the completed filter into the fume killer case, attach fan, and controller. Secure the fume killer to the ToM using bolts or screws.
