ABS filament building-pad instuction with 4 platform clamps (7mm)
thingiverse
U have problems with ABS-prints and don't have a heated bed? Try this: Use a 4mm PVC foam pad on top of your build-platform and cover it with Kapton tape. Due to the good insulation of the PVC beneath the Kapton tape, combined with a 230°C first-layer temperature, ABS sticks pretty well on the platform, even without a heated bed! That is because the heat of the filament in the first layer warms up the Kapton tape for good adhesion. Without the insulation, the glass build-plate absorbs too much temperature, cooling the first layer down too fast for good contact. These are 4 platform clamps for mounting an additional pad on a ZIM glass-platform (suitable for any ZIM!). The clamps will work from 7mm to 9.5mm because I used a 4mm PVC pad on top of a 5mm glass plate, which is covered with Kapton tape on one side. Print the "mit_logo"-version of the Zeepro logo on the outside or "ohne_logo" without any logo.
